Templates

Templates let you capture content you build once and reuse it across courses. Slate offers two types: block templates for individual reusable pieces, and lesson templates for full lesson structures.

Template types

Section titled “Template types”
  • Block Templates - save any configured block and insert copies into any lesson. Available on all plans
  • Lesson Templates - save a full lesson’s blocks and insert copies into any section. Available on Standard and Pro plans
  • Saving & Reusing - the full block-template workflow from saving to inserting

Both types create fully independent copies on insert, so editing an inserted block or lesson does not affect the template or any other copies.
