Export & LMS
Slate supports all major eLearning export formats so your courses work with any learning management system. Choose the format that best fits your LMS and tracking requirements.

Free plans include SCORM 1.2 exports. All other formats (SCORM 2004, xAPI, cmi5, HTML, and PDF) are available on Standard and Pro plans.
How to export
Section titled “How to export”- Open your course in the Slate Builder
- Click Export in the toolbar
- Select your export format
- Click Export and wait for the package to build
- Download the
.zipfile
The export runs entirely in your browser; your course data stays on your device during packaging.
What’s included in every export
Section titled “What’s included in every export”All export formats include:
- Full course content - sections, lessons, and all block types
- Media assets - images are bundled in the package; YouTube and Vimeo videos remain as external embeds
- Accessibility features - keyboard navigation, screen reader support, ARIA landmarks, and semantic structure
- Multi-language support - all translations are included with an in-player language selector (interactive formats)
- Responsive design - courses adapt to any screen size (interactive formats)
- Locked navigation - if enabled, learners must complete lessons in order (interactive formats)
Multi-language exports
Section titled “Multi-language exports”If your course has been translated, all translations are bundled into a single export package. Learners see a language selector in the course player and can switch languages at any time. There’s no need to create separate exports for each language.
LMS compatibility
Section titled “LMS compatibility”Slate exports have been validated with SCORM Cloud and are compatible with:
