Installing the app

1. Find Slate in the Canva Marketplace - search for “Slate” in Canva’s app directory, or open the app directly from the Canva Apps panel in any design.
2. Install the app - add it to your Canva account with one click.
3. Connect your Slate account - click Connect in the app’s side panel and sign in with your Slate account. If you don’t have a Slate account yet, you can create one during this step.

Once connected, the app remembers your account. You won’t need to sign in again unless you disconnect.

Requirements

• A Canva account (Free, Pro, or Teams)
• A Slate account (Free or paid)

Bonus credits on connection

When you connect your Canva account to Slate:

• Free users receive 1,000 one-time bonus credits (never expire)
• Standard and Pro subscribers receive 1,000 extra credits every month

Disconnecting

You can disconnect Canva from Slate in two ways:

• From Slate - go to Settings > Connected Apps and click Disconnect next to Canva.
• From Canva - open the app’s Actions menu and select Remove from my apps.

Either method requires you to sign in again the next time you use the app.

Disconnecting stops the monthly credit bonus for paid subscribers. If you reconnect later, the bonus resumes on your next billing cycle. Free users keep their one-time bonus credits regardless of connection status.
